SITE LOCATION ANALYSIS

Analysis based on criteria relating to accessibility, present / future vehicle or pedestrian flows; congestion risk and effects of road improvements. In many cases our work relates to comparative analysis of alternative sites.

ACCESIBILITY AUDIT

Assessment of access conditions to a specific location – identification of any potential problems (routing, road capacity, constraints on free traffic flow…). Design of suitable improvements and, if necessary negotiation of these with public authorities.

TRAFFIC ANALYSIS

Preparation of traffic generation and parking demand estimates for a new project. On this basis we advise on the number of parking spaces to be provided in the project; how to organise parking areas between different types of users; how many entrances and exits should be provided from outside roads; how access and egress traffic will distribute between different approach routes; what the impact of additional traffic from the project will be on the surrounding network, and what road improvements could be required.

CAR PARK LAYOUT

· Preparation of a design concept for the car park and other on-site traffic flow requirements; · Preparation of detailed drawings relating to car park layout and phasing. These include: traffic layout and organisation of parking rows at each level; layout and dimensions of ramps running between parking levels or those providing access and egress, to and from surrounding streets; pedestrian routes and all other necessary features.

PARK TOLL SYSTEMS

· Indication of toll barrier layout and dimensions on parking layout drawings. · Preparation of specifications relating to the operation of the toll system.

SIGNING AND SIGNALLING

Drawings of all directional signboards, traffic signs, striping arrows and other horizontal signing inside the car park and on approach roads.
